Today’s topic ONE SKILL I WISH I HAD BUT DON’T.
There are so many ways I could go with this.
I can’t: read a map, speak French, weld, powerlift, ski, hit a baseball, write poetry, home-brew beer, change a tire.
I’ve tried ( and failed at) making a souffle, knitting a sweater, snowshoeing, garden design, leaning to speak Spanish, adding washer fluid to a car ( don’t even ask about this one!).
I have no desire to: sing, act in play, write anything other than romance, learn ballet, deep sea dive, cliff dive.
So, since I’ve ruled everything else physical out, it makes the most sense that the skill I wish I had but don’t is the ability to keep my mouth shut and think before I speak.
This inability has lead to some hairy situations throughout my life, none of which I feel confident sharing on this platform. Suffice it to say, learning this skill would greatly benefit my life.

Honey, I hear you on thinking before speaking. I call it open mouth insert foot syndrome and I have it. ((hugs)) Great post!

As an introvert, I have no problem keeping my mouth shut, lol! Yet since I turned 50 (many moons ago), I’ve opened up like a volcano. Must learn to retreat now…
Great post, Peg!

I think we’re in the same boat. LOL I’ve gotten a bit better since having children but I still have a bad case of foot in mouth disease. 🙂

As a fellow member of the hoof in mouth club, great skill to achieve. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/03/wednesday-challenge-031120.html

I love your post this week! LOL Great self-analysis and I think we all have times we wish we could do that think before we speak thing. There are times I blurt something out and actually say, I said that out loud didn’t I? while wanting to crawl in a hole and simply perish.
