#tuesdaytease 10.1.24

With the publication next month of A CHEF’S KISS CHRISTMAS, I feel I’ve given you guys a lot of teasers, LOL.

But…

What’s one more? Hee hee.

His first thought was to run.

Just pack his meager belongings, jump into the car, and hightail it out of Dickens without a backward glance.

But he couldn’t leave, not now. He’d given his word to Amy Charles and respected her enough to keep it.

And this little snippet sets up the rest of the book!

Tropes: Grumpy/sunshine, smalltown, Holiday romance, Family, surviving loss, Post Covid life, starting over. Life after divorce. Chef. Later in life romance.

#Saturdayshare 9.28.24

I haven’t done one of these in a while, but figured now was a good time.

So.

I’ve been reading a lot lately. A LOT! In between writing and editing, I’ve got 4 books going at a time – 2 Netgalley arcs, one kindle or print, and 1 audio.

Here are some of the books I’ve read recently and how I rated them.

The Love Hypothesis 5 stars

This is why we lied 5 stars (audio)

A tempest of desire 5 stars ( Arc)

Big Witch Energy 3 stars ( arc)

The Housemaid 3 stars ( audio)

Sleep Tight 3 stars ( book of the month selection)

And…

I’m currently reading or listening to:

Undone (Audio)

Book of the Month ( ARC)

Done and Dusted

#fridayfive 9.27.24

So today’s Friday five is 5 things I’ve learned doing booksignings.

  1. Eat breakfast, bring lunch and water. Believe me…this is important for your sanity and health.
  2. Make a list of all the books you bring, the number of them, too. That way, at the end of the day, you can determine how many and of which one you sold and will need for the next signing.
  3. Make sure your phone/iPad/Square reader are all fully charged and bring a charger with you just in case.
  4. Brings pens. A lot of pens. Even if you are not giving them away as swag, they tend to …walk away.
  5. Bring money for change. Depending on how much you charge for your books, $1s, $5s, and $10s are the right denomination.

There are a bunch more, but that’s for next Friday!

#throwbackthursday 9.26.24

From April 2018…

So a few months ago I told y’all I’d started using Crepe Erase on my neck to combat the signs of aging, crepey, old-lady looking skin there. You know: that cracked, ugly, dry and turkeyneck-looking skin that covers your neck and decollate. I’ve used it consistently and persistently for 2 months, twice a day – morning and night, along with the exfoliating rub in the shower.

The results?

While my skin FEELS softer, it looks no younger, no less turkey-ish, no  less…crepey. Sometimes my skin even feels a little greasy, especially when I use it at night.

So the thought now is do I stop using it or keep trying to see if there are any real cumulative, long term positive effects.

It’s a conundrum. The stuff costs’ $49.00 per month and I get a delivery every three months. Right now I’m on round 2 ( the first supply was only for a month.) So I still have some time left before I get to the 6 month mark which is when I typically stop using stuff if I see no marked results or no change.

Hmmm….decisions, decisions.

I’m going to continue with the current supply, though, and see if time and continual use really does make a difference. I’ll be checking back with ya in the future.

That was harder than it should have been. Hee Hee

Just like it’s not the end result that brings you success, but the journey toward it. I love this sentiment. It keeps me moving forward when all I want to do is…stop, at times.

NOT a #tuesdaytease…well, sorta 9.24.24

I didn’t have time to write a REAL teaser for today because the last 5 days have been such a whirlwind. I’m back home now and will start up my routine again, but for now, today’s NOT a teaser is just to remind you all that A CHEF’S CHRISTMAS is available for PREORDER over on Amazon for just #99cents. The drop date is 11.11.24.

I’ve got a goal of 1000 copies preorders (I know!!), and I’m standing at 35 right now. That’s a looooooong-ass way for me to go to get to my goal, so….help a girl out??!!

LOL.

And remember, the 99 cents price is a limited-time offer. Once the book goes live live live, the price goes up. So take advantage of it now.

Thanks, and bless you all.

And I promise things will get back to normal on this page from now on…

I’d really just like to tour the US – we live in such a beautiful country and I haven’t seen much of it!

NOT a #TBT 9.19.24

I usually do a throwback Thursday on this day, but I’ve got something more important to talk about so it’s getting shelved for this week.

This is just a reminder ( again!) that I’ll be at BOOKSBOOKSBOOKS2024 this weekend in Lancaster, PA at the Wyndham Expo Barn.

I attended this event for the first time last year and had such a remarkable time I wanted to do it again, so I was lucky enough to get in for 2024.

If you’re attending YAY!. I’ve got 2 tables this year because I am a sponsor, so come and visit me at tables 15 and 16. I will have all my Christmas books – Dickens and San Valentino family – all my NYC Socialite series books ( 1-5), A Pride of Brothers ( 1-3) and my award-winning 2024 suspense Retribution all for sale.

Plus lots of swag and stuff!

I hope you can make it and if you can, don’t be shy about stopping by and saying hello. This is such a wonderful event. You’ll find me next to my big, pepto bismol colored logoed banner:

Happy Thursday, kids!
