Today’s the day!

YOU’RE MY MATCH releases…

I’ve been waiting so long for this final chapter in the HEAVEN’S MATCHMAKER series to be born and today’s the day!

YOU’RE MY MATCH is a sweet with heat, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, workplace romance about two people who never thought the other was their soulmate, or even a person they would want in their life.

Charity Quinlan is a workaholic, independent woman who wants nothing more than to have a successful career and a marriage as happy and long as her parents.

Kolby O’Brian in a professional photographer and a man who thinks one-night stands are as far as a committed relationship goes. He has a reason for keeping women at arm’s length, and once Charity discovers what that reason is, she is stunned. And intrigued.

YOU’RE MY MATCH ends the HEAVEN’S MATCHMAKER series and ties the original series, A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN, into it, giving us a glimpse at the O’Dowd sisters’ lives and how they all interact with Charity and Kolby.

As a reminder, 100% of all the royalties on every book sold in the month of November is going toward my local food bank charity FEEDING TINY TUMMIES. FTT serves the children and families of the Monadnock region and they are one of the most worthwhile organizations I have ever known. I am proud to help sponsor them, so please, help me help them and buy the book! LOL ( Shameless plug and ask!)

Release Day!!!

I’ve been hawking the preorders for this book for months!! ( Sorry!!, not sorry, lol) and the day is finally here! Release day for PERFECT MATCH, book 3 in the Heaven’s Matchmaker series.

I had such fun writing Olivia and Hunter’s story and finding ways for them to fall in love. I hope I did that, coherently and fully. When the reviews come in, I guess I’ll find out, LOL!

So,if you’re looking for something that’s a little sweet with heat, small-town, rich with main characters 40+, give this one a chance.

And I hope you enjoy all the books in the series so far ( there’s one more to come this November!)

Third generation matchmaker, Olivia Joyner, enjoys a 99% success rate when it comes to helping people find their happily ever afters. But her newest client is proving to be part of the 0.1 percent.

All the women Olivia have matched geriatrician Hunter Reinhart with have been perfect on paper. None of them, though, have resulted in a second request for a date, and all the women say the same thing: Hunter, although handsome and successful is just…dull. And boring. And too reserved.

Olivia can’t understand it, because to her? Hunter is none of those things. In fact, he’s the exact opposite of dull, boring, and reserved. He’s a man she would consider worthy of marrying herself – if she was in the market for a spouse.

Which she isn’t.

Olivia needs to figure out why she can’t find Hunter Reinhart the perfect match, and it just may require her to do something she’s never done before: go on a “date” with a client.

Purely for research and educational purposes, that is.

Happy reading, kids ~ Peg

It’s Monday and that means…a book release!

It’s hard to believe we all survived January – me especially! Such a busy, rollercoaster of a month, right?

Anyhoo…

Today the second book in the MacQuire Women series, PASSION’S PALETTE, releases into the book-reading world.

Serena MacQuire’s story was such a fun one for me to write because she’s feisty, has a temper that she tries to contain, loves her family unconditionally and to no end, and she lives for her art.

Until Seamus Cleary shows up, that is…

Talented and witty portrait artist, Serena MacQuire, is successful in everything but love. Her gift for capturing people on canvas is rivaled only by her fiery and legendary temper. A tragedy from the past keeps her heart securely locked away, preventing any man from getting close enough to claim it.

But Seamus Cleary isn’t just any man. After he left his professional football career to become a veterinarian, his bitter wife ended their marriage. Now, as he starts his life over in a new town, love is the last thing he’s looking for. The more he tends to Serena’s horses, though, the more he realizes her own heart needs tender care and healing as well.

Will he be the man who finally unlocks and claims her heart?

Here’s a little taste…

With a hip resting against the tabletop, he browsed through her paints and brushes, lifting one color pot, then another.

“So. You’re an artist.”

She nodded.

“What do you paint?”

As he opened and closed the pots, Serena observed his hands, silently assessing the length and width of his fingers. Her mind registered the dexterous movements of each action, the deliberate, steady way his hands performed each task.

“Portraits, mostly.”

“This is pretty big equipment for a portrait. Where do your pictures hang? In castles?”

“Three do,” she told him, charmed when his neck reddened. “But this stuff will be for a mural I’ve been commissioned to do for a hospital.”

His eyebrows lifted. “Impressive. You must be good.”

Allowing a smidgeon of playfulness to creep into her voice, Serena gave him a shrug that rivaled his own. “Better than some. Not as good as others.”

He returned the smile.

Her heart giddyapped.

Intrigued? LOL.

Happy reading, kids ~ Peg

#tuesdayteaser about…motivation

So, by now, you know A CHEF’S KISS CHRISTMAS finally released yesterday! I’ve been pretty obnoxious about it, posting continually, but that’s because I just love the story so much.

I’d like to share the motivation behind writing this story because it wasn’t the normal “let me just get two people together” mindset I usually have when I pen a new story.

For some time, I’ve wanted to write a post-Covid story.

There were so many losses during those horrible two years, losses of loved ones, careers, lifestyles, everyday freedoms, that I felt now we’ve had enough time since lockdown ended, and we could go on with our lives again, that a story about losing someone to the horrible disease wouldn’t be so raw.

I may have been wrong about that, because when I was writing this, I had to stop several times to cry and grieve along with the characters.

Suffice it to say, I was afraid I’d written a real downer of a holiday tale.

But the saying great stories are made in the editing process is true for a reason. To balance the sadness, I added humor and happy events. Humor that you’ve all come to expect from Amy Charles, her family, and the people of Dorrit’s Diner and Dickens.

And so, because trigger warnings are something many readers want put forth first and foremost now, here are the ones for this tale:

~ loss of a spouse/grief

~depression

~isolation

~aimlessness.

And here are the happy triggers:

~new babies

~new love affairs

~finding your center

~learning to love again

~friendship

And the happiest trigger of all: The residents of Dickens and Dorrit’s Diner.

Enjoy, my dear friends. And wherever you find yourself this holiday season, remember: Love is always in season in Dickens.

NOT a #tuesdaytease…well, sorta 9.24.24

I didn’t have time to write a REAL teaser for today because the last 5 days have been such a whirlwind. I’m back home now and will start up my routine again, but for now, today’s NOT a teaser is just to remind you all that A CHEF’S CHRISTMAS is available for PREORDER over on Amazon for just #99cents. The drop date is 11.11.24.

I’ve got a goal of 1000 copies preorders (I know!!), and I’m standing at 35 right now. That’s a looooooong-ass way for me to go to get to my goal, so….help a girl out??!!

LOL.

And remember, the 99 cents price is a limited-time offer. Once the book goes live live live, the price goes up. So take advantage of it now.

Thanks, and bless you all.

And I promise things will get back to normal on this page from now on…

#tuesdayTease 9/10/24

Since I’m still promoting the preorders for my upcoming 6th Dickens Holiday Romance, A CHEF’S KISS CHRISTMAS, i figured another little tidbit about food was a good idea today.

Portia Avon is no cook. Not even close. She has one go-to item she can cook, though, and makes it for Tony when she discovers he hasn’t eaten anything in almost 14 hours. She makes him a simple ham and cheese grilled sandwich, and he thinks it’s the best thing he’s eaten in a while.

ANother little tidbit in the book that concerns eating is all the sauces Tony makes taste even better with different spices and ways of cooking them.

Food and cooking play heavy in this book and serve to show Tony the reasons why he should rejoin the “land of the living and walking around,” again.

You’ll understand that quote once you read the book. Oh, and looks: it’s up for preorder right now, here:

And it you read and review on Booksprout, you can borrow it here: https://bit.ly/47a4LOP

#TuesdayTease 9.3.24

So after the wonderful cover reveal weekend for A CHEF’S KISS CHRISTMAS, I figured it would be a good idea to post a little of the story to whet your preorder appetite, lol!

In the story, Tony is spicing up Dorrit’s recipes a bit and he calls up his old spicy fall pumpkin soup recipe. Here’s the scene where he introduces it…

“You got more of that pumpkin soup left?” Amy asked, breezing into the kitchen, a stacked tray of empty dishes in her arms.

“Just stirring the next batch,” he told her.

“I need two bowls, and I’m pretty sure RayLynn will be in with an order too, ‘cuz I heard one of the customers asking her about it.”

He nodded while pulling down bowls from the shelf.

“I don’t know what you put in it,” Amy said, sliding the dishes into the sink, “but I’ve never had so many orders for hot soup in this diner before today; that’s a fact.”

Silently, he smiled, then told her, “Old family recipe.” Which was a half-truth. He’d taken his Nonna’s recipe, which was delicious on its own, then played with the spices until he found a mixture that was sweet, tangy and savory all at the same time. He’d served it at Gusto for only one Fall season, right before the world changed. The notion to fire it up again, he hated to admit, had been sparked by Portia’s cookbook idea.

The picture is a pretty good portrayal of what the soup looks like if you make it.

National and International Matchmaker Day 2024! #booksale #matchmakerromance

Do you love a matchmaker romance book? I do. Simply lovelovelove!!! And August 31st has been designated as MATCHMAKER DAY!

To celebrate this wonderful day devoted to finding love, I’ve got a sale going on for my HEAVEN’S MATCHMAKER series – both books MIX & MATCH and LOVE MATCH are ON SALE for just #99cents in Kindle copy! You can’t beat that price! 2 books for less than $2.00!

Divorced and lonely, nurse Jasmine Green retains the services of Heaven, NH’s very own successful matchmaker, Olivia Joyner. The bar scene and dating apps give Jasmine hives and Liv’s reputation is stellar. If anyone can help guide her through the quagmire that dating has become, Olivia can.

Architect Donovan Boyd is ready to settle down. He wants the kind of marriage his parents have; long lasting, filled with love, children, and joy. But even after a year of living and working in Heaven, he’s still considered an outsider by many. Finding the type of woman he’s looking for is hard in the tight-knit community. Retaining Olivia Joyner to help him find his forever love is one of the smartest things he’s done, especially after she sets him up with Jasmine Green.

But the red-haired, green-eyed beauty wants a different kind of marriage from the one Donovan considers ideal.

Running away from a public scandal may be cowardly, but to Layla Warton, it’s her best option.

After her politically connected fiancé is indicted for a laundry list of crimes, Layla wants to put the public ridicule and shame of her guilty-by-association status behind her. Not easy to do when all her supposed friends and supporters lose her number and the taint of scandal-adjacent destroys the successful design business and life she’s built for herself.

Happy childhood memories and the blessing of a local friend push her toward the tiny New England town of Heaven where she spent summers with her loving grandparents. Hiding out in the town until the scandal dies down is the perfect plan.

With the paparazzi hot on her tail, an ancient family home she needs to get livable, and a contractor too hot for her sanity, Layla worries she’ll never be able to get her old life back.

But would that really be such a bad thing?

….and look for book 3, PERFECT MATCH, coming in 2025
