https://booksprout.co/reviewer/review-copy/view/85923/chance

Chance Miller, divorce lawyer extraordinaire, knows the whole happily ever after dream is an urban myth. He deals with miserable and wedded warring couples every day and swears staying single keeps him sane and happy. His friends and family consider him the last single man standing and fear he’ll never find someone and settle down. But Chance relishes his carefree status and unencumbered lifestyle and has no plans to change anything.

If only his relatives would stop trying to set him up with their version of the perfect woman.

Fredrika Poole already experienced her one great love, and the widow can’t read any future romance in her tea leaves. She’s content to bake, run her business, and care for her daughter.

When Chance meets Freddie and discovers her marriage thoughts run on the same road his do, he realizes she’s the answer to his prayer for keeping the relatives at bay. But the pixie barista has a way of making Chance question everything he’s always thought about love, marriage, and wedded bliss.

Will his last man standing status go unchallenged? Or will Freddie be the one woman he wants…but can never have?

***You can claim your copy until August 1. Reviews are due by September 5 for the 9.12.2022 release date

Have fun reading!!!

I do have a lot of mugs!! haha

This is another fav because, really, when it comes down to it this is exactly what writers are: storytellers.

Some are better than others, assuredly.

But within every writer is a burst of inspiration that cries out “Let me tell you a story.”

Love that!

I tend to think today’s mug is – mostly – a true definition of the word. I’m a little conflicted by the grammar, though.

Anyway…I showed you mine. What’s your cup look like today??

#MugShotMonday 4.19.2021…this one is based on a photo and one of my books!

In honor of April, I give you an April showers mug that my dear friend Jill gave me several years ago. One of my book covers has a couple embracing in the rain under a red umbrella. She found this mug and thought of me.

Love that!!!

This is the book cover of THE VOICES OF ANGELS…

And the cover of the book was based on this very famous photograph I sent to my cover artist for inspiration:

Don’t you just love when all that stuff ties together? It’s like art Karma meets book Karma meets cup Karma!

Love that!!!

So, do you have any seasonal mugs?? Show me so I can gawk, heehee!

And here’s a little about THE VOICES OF ANGELS if you’re interested – which I hope you are, LOL!

Love is the last thing Carly Lennox is looking for when she sets out on her new book tour. The independent, widowed author is content with a life spent writing and in raising her daughter. When newscaster Mike Woodard suggests they work on a television magazine profile based on her book, Carly’s thrilled, but guarded. His obvious desire to turn their relationship into something other than just a working one is more than she bargained for.

Mike Woodard is ambitious, and not only in his chosen profession. He wants Carly, maybe more than he’s ever wanted anything or anyone else. As he tells her, he’s a patient man. But the more they’re together, Mike realizes it isn’t simply desire beating within him. Carly Lennox is the missing piece in his life. Getting her to accept it-and him-may just be the toughest assignment he’s ever taken on.

Happy Monday, peeps ~ Peg

Today’s mug is a silly one I got in a gift basket. It was at a fundraiser for Foster Parents of Keene. At the time of the auction I was in the height of raging hormones from menopause and I was hot flashing 20-30 times per day. This mug was perfect for that time!

So, I showed your mine…show me yours. No theme today, just a cute mug.

Hard to believe it’s March already! The weather here in my neck of the woods is still cold, blustery, and snowy. Spring can’t come soon enough for me. I need to plant some flowers and just be outside without forty layers of clothing.

Today’s mug is an old, old, old, one for me. I think I got it when I was in college, so a millennia ago. Hee hee

Back in the 80’s, Angels were a big thing. Why? No idea. But this mug was given to me by one of my college friends on my birthday after I expressed an interest in angels and what they could do for us.

The picture on the mug is pretty famous. I’ve seen it on paintings, note cards, note books, advertising copy, all over the place really.

So, do you have a mug with any kind of celestial being on it? Either drawn, cartoon, or pciture? I showed you mine, now you show me yours…

I can’t remember where I got the mug. I don’t know if it was a present or I bought it for myself, but it’s one of my favorites for two reasons. 1. it’s oversized. When I need more than a regular cup of tea, this cup actually fills with 2.5 cups. Love that!! and 2, the message:  DON’T QUIT YOUR DAYDREAM.

For most of my life, I had a dream to be a published book author. I pursued that dream, never forgetting it. 5 years ago my dream came true and I got my first publishing contract. I’ve never looked back.

No matter what your dream is – to own a business, to be a movie star, to write the next great American novel, don’t give up on it, and don’t allow anyone talk you out of it. Dreams keep us motivated and make us “hungry.”

Do you have a mug with an inspirational quote? Share it with me in the comments section. Who knows? You may inspire someone else!

Until next time, peeps. Enjoy your tea/coffee  ~ Peg
