VANILLA WITH A TWIST is a winner!

Last week started off horribly for me.

I won’t go into details, but every day there was a new issue or problem either with my family or my career. I wondered if things could get worse. But then, yesterday, they got immeasurably better!

Last night I was informed that my sweet romance VANILLA WITH A TWIST won the Sweet category in the Oklahoma Romance Writers Guild Awards!

Gobsmacked is too tame a word for how I felt when I watched the You0tube virtual event and heard my name called!

So, it really was the perfect ending to a week I want to forget!

If you haven’t read the book, here’s a little something about it:

VANILLA WITH A TWIST

Tandy Blakemore spends her days running her New England ice cream parlor, single-parenting her teenage son, and trying to keep her head above financial water. No easy feat when the shop’s machinery is aging and her son is thinking about college. Tandy hasn’t had a day off in a decade and wonders if she’ll ever be able to live a worry-free life.
Engineer Deacon Withers is on an enforced vacation in the tiny seaside town of Beacher’s Cove. Overworked, stressed, and lonely, he walks into Tandy’s shop for a midday ice cream cone and gets embroiled in helping her fix a broken piece of equipment.
Can the budding friendship that follows lead to something everlasting?

Intrigued? I hope so.

I’m off to do Sunday chores. Hope your day is as happy as mine.

Until next time, peeps ~ Peg

#goodthingsTuesday 4.27.2021

It’s not often I can brag ( and I hate that word, but…) about more than 1 good thing at a time, but this week, I’ve got three!

A PRIDE OF BROTHERS: RICK is a RONE NOMINEE this week and voting is open right now. If you’d like to vote for it ( pretty please!!!) here’s the link: RONE AWARDS.

My second good thing is that WOKE is going into wide digital distribution next week. This will be the second book I’ve managed to get into all outlets online and I’m super excited. Here’s the PREORDER link if you don’t have a kindle and haven’t read it yet: UNIVERSAL LINK

And the third good thing is that VANILLA WITH A TWIST is up for an OKRWA GUILD HEART AWARD. The announcement of the winners will be May 1. Wish me luck!!!

So, tell me something good that happened to you this past week!!! inquiring minds ( mine!) want to know.

HOPE’S DREAM now available in print from the Wild Rose Press

I love my publisher. I really do.

They’ve just released my Deerboune Inn novella in print form, sold exclusively through the Wild Rose Press.

HOPE’S DREAM was such a joy to write. It’s a rags to riches, sweet romance about a small town girl who survives loss and life changes, and a disillusioned lawyer trying to get his life together.

Here’s the blurb:

Hope Kildaire gave up her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner when a car accident killed her father and left her mother an invalid. Working two jobs and caring for her mother leaves the twenty-seven-year-old with no time for fun or relationships. When a law firm representing her paternal grandparents sends her several letters, Hope ignores them. She despises the family who disowned her father and wants nothing to do with them.

Lawyer Tyler Coleman’s job is simply to obtain Hope’s signature on a legal document. Getting it is harder than planned, though, when an unexpected attraction blossoms between them. If Ty is honest with Hope about why he’s in Willow Springs, he’ll fulfill his assignment but may risk hurting her.

The opportunity to have everything she’s ever desired is at Hope’s fingertips. Will her dream come true at the expense of Tyler’s love?

You can get your print copy only from the Wild Rose Press, here: HOPE’S DREAM

Or, if you like digital reads, here: Amazon

And, lastly, if you like Audible, you can listen to the book here: Audible

So many ways to enjoy a lovely romance! Get your copy today.

The changing face of how we read…

Finally a blog post title I like! hee hee.

I write. Two little words that mean so much more than they can ever convey.

I write books. Three words that define me.

My books are available in many formats, not only print. That sentence is monumental. Why? Because I can reach so many more people/book/story lovers who aren’t able to read a standard print book.

My books are available in digital format – on phones, kindles, nooks, and tablets.

My books are available in audio form to be listened to and enjoyed for those people who can no longer read the written word.

My books area available to purchase, to loan ( in libraries) and for free in a subscription program called KU ( Kindle Unlimited.)

So many choices that just make my heart go zing!

For those who like to listen to books while they drive to work, fly, or simply relax and close their eyes, in audio ( on Audible) my titles include:

For those who subscribe to Kindle Unlimited the following titles are available:

and my upcoming book It’s A Trust Thing will also be available in KU.

And all of my books are available in digital format or Print on Demand ( POD) here: Peggy Jaeger on :

Amazon//   Barnes and Noble//  Kobo //  i-books//   Google Play  //   Walmart

When I was a kid, print books were the only way to satisfy my story love. Then came books on tape, and now, the digital revolution.

It’s an amazing time to be a book lover, a story teller, and a romance fan, isn’t it??

Happy reading/listening/watching.

Until next time ~ Peg

OH, and please don’t forget – one of my WRP books, FIRST IMPRESSIONS is on sale right now in the digital format in   Amazon /// Nook /// Ibooks  for just 99 cents.

The new and weird world of (K)indle (U)nlimited

This is not going to be an explanation of KU, sorry. I’m still as stupid and in the dark about the whole process, myself, and I really think I need an instruction workshop to have it make any sense to me.

No, this posting is part of that never ending branding and marketing portion of my life. You see, two of my books have recently been put into KU – not by me! I’m traditionally published and had no say in the matter when the publishers decided to go this route.

The two books are

COOKING WITH KANDY, book 1 in my WIll Cook for Love series from Kensington/Lyrical

and DIRTY DAMSELS, DotComGirls, bk1 from Limitless Publishing

So, if you are a KU subscriber, do a little romance author a favor and read a few pages ( or download the entire book! – even better! hee hee)

Until next time ~ Peg

#CyberMonday, #romanceBooks, and #shoppingfromHome

It’s amazing how nowadays we have labels, tags, and names for everything, including the days we shop for holiday presents! This is the world we live in, peeps. Accept it and move on.

So, CYBER MONDAY. The day where the people in the know state the majority of on-line sales for the holidays are completed. And, like any good little writing entrepreneur, I’m blogging about the day!! Or more specifically, how to order my books on-line.

I’ve become quite the little marketing/ad designer these days. Thank you, Jesus for Canva!! Hee hee.

Anyhoo. You probably already know you can order my books from most of the on-line book retailers out there. With the exception of the anthologies I am part of and the two books that were digital only, all my other books are available in print or e-reader copy, so you can buy them for yourself or gift them to the romance reader on your shopping list this year.

I’m still a big believer in the brick and mortar store way of shopping, but since my books are classified as Digital first/POD ( Print on Demand) the only place they are available is in my home town in my local independent bookstore, so if you live in, say,  Kalamazoo,  Kentucky, or Kensington Palace, it just makes sense to order them on-line.

So, do a sistah a solid and put a little romance under your own tree – or the romance reader in your life’s tree – this year!

And don’t forget – several of my titles are now available on AUDIO from AUDIBLE, so if your romance reader is really a romance listener, you’ve got options for gifts. Love that!!

And, as always, #blessyou!

on-line retailers that carry my books: the Wild Rose Press//Amazon //Barnes and Noble//Kobo//I-tunes(Apple)//GooglePlay//Books-a-Million// BookGorilla//AUDIBLE

Brick and Mortar store that carries my print copy books: THE TOADSTOOL BOOKSHOP in Keene, NH

2027…

Because I have a scientific background, I’m a planner. That’s why I classify myself as a plotter for writing. But I digress….

I plan. For everything, Disasters, worst case scenarios, major illnesses, disease, pestilence, and plague. I have enough non-perishable food to last through the next zombie apocalypse, and if we get hit with a nucelar warhead, we’ll have clean water to drink..and douse ourselves in (!) So it’s no secret I’ve got a plan for the next ten years of my career.

Originally, when I started writing full time in 2015, I had a 5 year plan. I exceeded all the goals on that plan by 2017, so I broadened and increased it to 10 more years at the beginning of 2017.

Here are a few things on that new career plan:

Get an agent

Have at least 1 NYTimes and USA Bestseller, if not more.

Have a movie made out of one of my books – a good movie, at that, None of this wrecking the story by putting it on film crap!

Have at least 2 books per year, if not 3, published every year

Make enough money to hire a personal assistant who will do all my web media. ( since you all know how much I hatehatehate self marketing!)

Win a RITA ( or 2)

There are more things, but I didn’t feel I needed to share everything.

So…check back in 2027. Until then, I’ll be working on my plan.

Check out the other authors in this blog challenge and see where they see themselves in 10 years. This should be fun!’
