Upcoming Facebook Event for MISTLETOE, MOBSTERS, & MOZZARELLA release day!

I’m nervous and excited at the same time!!! On October 14, not only does my new San Valentino Holiday RomCom MISTLETOE, MOBSTERS, & MOZZARELLA release into the book reading world, I’m also having an entire day Facebook Party/event to celebrate it. This is a first for me and I am wicked angsty! Hee hee

I’ve been a guest at many a FB event, but never the hostess and driving force. It’s not easy, either. There’s a bunch of stuff involved behind the scenes but I think I’m getting it all done correctly. I guess we’ll see on the day of the event, won’t we?

I have a wonderful array of author friends joining me, everyone from my WRP sistahs to my NHRWA sisters! All genres of romance will be on display, too, which is great. Like a really fabulous dinner party, it pays to have an eclectic group in attendance.

Here’s the schedule of my lovely friends who are helping me celebrate:

And here’s the link to the event: MMM Release Day Party

I hope you can make it. I know it’s going to be fun-filled day, despite my nerves.

You can pre-order your copy of Mistletoe, Mobsters, & Mozzarella  now, here: MMM

And there’s currently a Goodreads Giveaway you can enter for the book, here: GOODREADS GIVEAWAY

Until next time, peeps ~ Peg

A Goodreads Giveaway, a Facebook Event and more in October 2020!

I’ve got a lot going on this month. I’m a little exhausted and it’s only the first day of October! heehee

So, let’s start at the very beginning ( A very good place to start according to Maria Von Trapp). It’s never too early to be thinking of Christmas and the Holidays. They will be here soon enough and you want to have all your Holiday 2020 reading done, or the list made out of books you want to ask for for a present. With those thoughts in mind…..Today, I’ve started a 2 week GOODREADS giveaway for 3 lucky winners to win an autographed copy of MISTLETOE, MOBSTERS, & MOZZARELLA in print!! It’s open to US occupants only because of prohibitive shipping costs to elsewhere. But, if you reside in the continental US and would like to win a paperback copy, here’s the link to enter: GOODREADS GIVEAWAY and good luck!

Next on the agenda: on October 14, MISTLETOE, MOBSTERS, & MOZZARELLA releases into the book reading world. Have you preordered your copy yet? Well let me help you if you haven’t; here’s the link: MMM

Also, on 10.14, I’m having a release day event on my facebook Peggy Jaeger, Author page. I’ll be live from 1:30 pm EST until 10 pm EST,. Here’s a list of the amazeballs authors who will be joining me throughout the day:

This is the first time I’ve ever thrown one of these events. I’m usually a guest on someone else’ release day event, so I’ve never had to do more than stop by for a half hour or so. This time, the entire day will be spent on FB. If I’m not blind or insane by the end of the night it will be an October miracle. Remember those: we used to have them when we got to watch real baseball games from the bleacher seats. ( insert sarcasm)

I’ve got another surprise coming up on 10.26.2020. I’m part of a 10-writer holiday 2020 anthology titled CHRISTMAS COMES TO DICKENS.

And if you buy this amazeballs collection for just 99cents ( COME ON! What a price!!!!) you can get the companion cookie recipe book from the authors as well. We are working on making the cookie book FREE to all right now, so DO NOT ORDER IT yet!!

I’ve been busy writing, baking, editing, and formatting.

And playing with my new puppy, who you can follow on instagram, here: MapleLeafthedog

So you can see why I’m exhausted.

Heehee.

#LongandShortReviews #weeklybloggingchallenge 9.30.2020

This week’s topic is a goodie ( but they’ve all been goodies, lately!! hee hee) : THE NON-FICTION BOOK EVERYONE SHOULD READ AND WHY.

I’ve got 3 and I’ve read them both multiple times because they are so fab.

  1. MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL by John Berendt This is a must read for any one who likes a society murder mystery who-dunnit. The story has everything from old society mores, nouveau riche money, hidden homosexuality, and a wealth of characters that you truly couldn’t think up for fiction. Forget the extremely tedious movie version and read the book. It is eons better!!!
  2. DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY   by Erik Larson A murder at the Chicago World’s Fair that is so intricately woven with real life events of the time, you won’t be able to put this one down. Its history is richly depicted and it’s not for the faint-hearted.
  3. UNDER THE BANNER OF HEAVEN by Jan Krakauer  How the Morman church developed and how it turned into a Fundamentalist nightmare of murder, polygamy and corruption from within. Couldn’t put this one down. Once I read it, I went back immediately and re-read it. Believe me, this is not an easy read by an definition of the word. But so worth the effort!

All three of these books deal with greed, murder, and envy – a trifecta of deadly sins. If you like investigative journalism at its finest, mixed with historical accuracy and flavor, these 3 books should be on your Kindle.

Let’s see what some of the other authors in this challenge consider books worth reading: L&SR

And don’t forget: 10.14.2020 is the release of my newest Holiday Rom Com MISTLETOE, MOBSTERS, & MOZZARELLA. I’m currently on a book tour for the book and you can join in, here: MMMBookTour

Tena Stetler and HIDDEN GYPSY MAGIC

My Wild Rose Press sistah, Tena Stetler, has a new book out and she’s joining me today to give you some reasons you should read it!!! LOVE THAT!!!

Here’s Tena….

So you haven’t read HIDDEN GYPSY MAGIC, yet. Let me give you nine reasons I believe you’ll enjoy it.

  1. You can take a stroll with the characters to one of Midcoast Main’s most popular lighthouses. Opened in 1825, Owls Head Light where you can see from its lofty perch, the beauty of Penobscot Bay. Learn interesting facts about the history of lighthouses.
  2. Celebrate an unusual Halloween house warming in Salam Mass., with ghosts, witches, werewolves and a frightening situation.
  3. Revel in the wonderful feelings of saving the life of a snowy owl.
  4. Discover the consequences of Hidden Gypsy Magic.
  5. Find out why a visit to a supposedly non-haunted house in Salem takes an unexpected turn.
  6. The house in Salem has held a secret for over one-hundred years. Discover why the house is willing to reveal its secret to Gwen.
  7. Discover why Brock’s parents are keeping a family secret from him and his siblings.
  8. Learn why the Mass Depart of wildlife is parked at Brock’s clinic after visiting Gwen’s Sanctuary.
  9. Given the unsettled climate of the world today, curling up with a heart-warming story is just what we all need. Come let Hidden Gypsy Magic whisk you away from your ordinary world into a magical fantasy adventure. You’ll find yourself rooting for the hero and heroine and booing the bad guys then closing the book with a satisfied sigh.

A bit more about Hidden Gypsy Magic:

The Salem Wildlife Sanctuary is Gwen Taylor’s life work.  Her Irish Gypsy heritage provides a hidden talent she uses to help the creatures under her care.  But even her magical skills can’t help new rescues in dire need of veterinary care.

The opportunity of signing on as the vet for Gwen’s sanctuary dropped into Brock Scutter’s lap after he expanded his practice to include wildlife. The personal attraction he and Gwen experience is undeniable the more their professional and personal lives collide.

Touring the only “non-haunted” house in Salem they both feel a spark of magic.  A trip to his family’s cabin uncovers a heritage he didn’t know existed.  If they want a future together, it means facing the consequences of awakening hidden Gypsy magic and a race against the clock to correct past wrongs.

A sneak peek between the pages of Hidden Gypsy Magic:

“This house may not have a history of magic, but I’d bet it’s magical. Pepper is going to go nuts when she sees this. You’re going to put an offer in. Right?”

“As I said before, it may be completely out of my price range.”

“I have a feeling the house has been waiting for you.” Gwen flung her hand to her mouth, her face flushed, and her gaze swiveled to him. “I don’t know what made me say that.”

Looking thoughtful, he grinned. “Since the day I stumbled upon Pepper’s secret — then discovered that you and I share the gift or curse of gypsy blood, things have been different—” Pausing, he shoved his hand in his jean’s pocket and jingled the change in his pocket. “I’ve been different. It’s as if knowing magic exists awakened something in me.”

“Join the club. Years ago Pepper made a believer out of me. In fact, there were times I wished—never mind. Whether it was my outlook or as you said magic awakened. But to be fair, I’ve always had what I called a sixth sense with animals, attuned to their feelings, almost their thoughts, fears, that kind of thing. Pepper called it my talent. But as we became close, I noticed other abilities… you’ll think I’m crazy.”

“Try me.” He moved closer to her and the front door banged open. Quickly he rushed to the top of the stairs.

A little Sexy #SundaySnippet 9.27.2020

Tomorrow I start my Goddess Fish Blog Tour for MISTLETOE, MOBSTERS, & MOZZARELLA, so I thought I’d whet your Holiday RomCom-reading appetite with a little sexy snippet from the book here, today. Enjoy. And consider preordering – the link is live in the above title!

After the third episode of a sitcom we’d both loved as kids, we decided to forgo a forth.

Tony shifted on the couch and stretched out next to me, slipping one arm behind my head the other palming my stomach.

“Wanna make out?” he asked, grinning, as his lips skimmed down my neck.

“How old are you, twelve?” I asked. But I have to admit I did nothing to discourage him from seducing me.

“When I was twelve I wanted to play with balls and bats. I wouldn’t have known what to do with a gorgeous woman in my arms.” He pulled my ear lobe between his lips and bit down.

“You learned pretty fast.” I might have gasped once or twice while saying it because the hand at my stomach inched up to cup a breast. He stopped under the edge of my bra the moment he touched the fabric.

He pulled up, leaving his hand in place, and asked, “What are you wearing under this? It doesn’t feel like regular bra material.”

“What’s regular bra material feel like?”

“You know. Cotton or something. What is this?” He tugged at the collar until my bra strap and cup were exposed. It was fascinating watching his face as he got a glimpse of my underwear.

“Holy shit.”

“Is that a good holy shit, or a bad one?” I was sure I knew the answer just by the way his eyes widened to the size of bocce balls and his mouth dropped open like his jaw came unhinged.

Instead of answering me right away he pulled up and dragged me with him. When we were sitting, facing one another, he gripped the hem of my sweater and looked me square in the eyes as he asked, “Can I take this off?”

The fact that he asked almost made me start crying. I mean, really, how sweet was that?

I debated whether or not to slip it off myself, but he had such a look of boyish expectation on his face, I knew half the fun for him was to do it himself, so I lifted my arms above my head.

I don’t think any item of clothing I’ve ever worn was discarded so quickly or as deftly as Margaret Rose’s gift.

“Holy shit,” Tony exclaimed again when I was sans sweater.

I repeated my previous question.

This time for an answer he skimmed the lace top edge, then slid down over the red cups, his thumbs teasing over my hardened nipples. The material covering my breasts was a red mesh and completely see through. My nipples peeped between the interwoven curlicues. A satin bra would have kept them secure and hidden behind the material.

Tony’s gaze zeroed in on those two little distended points and then he rubbed his thumbs over them again.

My back arched, jutting them forward, and I almost came on the spot when Tony licked his lips, shifted, and sucked one of them into his mouth.

“If this is what you’re wearing on top,” he said, moving to the other breast for equal time, “what have you got on under your jeans?”

I gasped and clutched his head between my hands as the tug of his lips shot straight down to my core. Between breaths I managed to say, “It’s a matching set.”

Tony shot back and stared hard at me again, hope now adding to the expectation in his eyes. I could detect a little lust mixed in as well.

“Can I see? Please?”

He truly did look like a little kid waiting to open his birthday presents, hoping and wishing he’d get exactly what he’d asked for.

“Well, since you ask so nicely.”

Intrigued? I hope so.

Hope to see you all on the tour when it starts tomorrow. Check back here then for the stops!

Until next time, peeps ~ peg
